Privacy notice

What we process and why

1. Account at account.qenex.net — name, e-mail, password (stored as a hash only); for organisations the company name, address, identification numbers and members' e-mails. Purpose: account management, issuing and managing licenses, invoicing. Legal basis: performance of the contract (License Agreement); for billing data a legal obligation.
2. License verification — when verifying a license, QInsight transmits the license key, a machine fingerprint (a non-reversible identifier derived from the computer's machine identifier), the computer name, the product identification and version, and the license status. Purpose: issuing and verifying licenses, protecting the software from unlicensed use. Legal basis: performance of the contract and QENEX's legitimate interest.
3. E-mail communication — messages you send us and notifications about your account and license (account activation, upcoming expiry). Marketing e-mails only with your consent.
4. Website — the server keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for a limited time for security and operation. The site uses no third-party tracking cookies; language and theme preferences are stored only in your browser.

What we do not process

QInsight and the QFW SDK never transmit your measurement data, project files, scripts or data from connected devices.

Retention

Account data for the life of the account and thereafter as required by law (accounting and tax records 10 years); license records for the license term plus 3 years; access logs at most 12 months.

Recipients

Hosting and e-mail providers processing data for us under contract (server provider in the EU); our accountant; public authorities where required by law. No transfers outside the EU/EEA.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest; complaint to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.cz). Requests to info{'@'}qenex.net.
